IVECO OTOBREDA C-1 "Ariete"

STORY

After 15 years of study end experiments for a 2nd generation Main Battle Tank, in 1998 the Ariete enters in Italian Army active service.
It's armed with a 120/44 autostabilized gun builded by OTOBREDA, supplied with 44 rounds of APFSDS and HEAT shots, a coaxial MG 7.62 machine gun to the main gun, and another one for the tank commander.
Uses daytime, nighttime and IR autostabilized periscopes as search equipment.
It's an excellent tank, and it's comparable with british Challenger and french Leclerc. It's a good platform for future improvement projects.
